We have our first confirmed fixture date for 2027. With the recent release of the Lancashire Cricket Foundation Cup draw. In the First Round, Burnley will be hosting Edhi Cricket Club. The opposition will travel from Oldham with the tie to be played Sunday 9th May 2027 at Haffner’s Turf Moor.
The LCF Cup has been a common sight in the Burnley Cricket summer over the last few years. Making appearances in the competition in 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025. Qualification for the Cup has come via the great success they have enjoyed in the Lancashire League over the same period. Burnley missed out on the competition in 2026 due to a poor League performance in 2025, but are back in after winning their 20th League title this year.
Burnley will be hoping to match their 2021 success where they managed to defeat Bawali Shreef, Farnworth and Bootle to reach the Final and play at Ermirates Old Trafford, unfortunately being bested by Ormskirk.
Other Lancashire League teams in the draw include Lowerhouse, Ramsbottom, Norden, Greenmount and Walsden.
Should Burnley manage to proceed through to the next round, they will have another home tie against either Kearsley or Kirkham & Wesham. For full draw details go to https://foundation.lancashirecricket.co.uk/play/clubs-and-competitions/recreational-mens-cricket/lancashire-knockout-cup-2027/
