Cricket's back, it's a long weekend... AND IT'S PROPER SUNNY!

You couldn’t ask for a better weekend than this, could you?

Sun’s out? Tick.

FOUR DAY weekend? Tick.

And loads of cricket? Tick. Tick. Tick.

Today, the 3rd XI are off to Rochdale for their season opener and the 2nds are off to Blackley for a friendly game of bat and ball (say ‘Hiya!’ to Midders for us, please).

On Sunday, Adrian Tate’s band of merry men raise the Lancs League curtain at MyProtein Turf Moor, hosting all-conquering Walsden. It’s a great match to start, with last season’s LET Cup Final being a hard-fought and super-entertaining affair. More of the same please, lads.

Also on Sunday, Danny Pickup’s 1st XI head over the border to Walsden in a mouth-watering clash of the titans match-up.

Plus, what with Monday being Easter Monday and a Bank Holiday with a forecast for the weather set fair, if you’re heading over to Walsden, you can nip into Riggs’ and get some stuff for the garden. Then the club is open from 7.30pm for Chelsea vs Burnley on Monday Night Football.

Amazing. Keep up with everything that’s happening over on that Twitter.
