FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – 20th August 2025
THE Cricket Field Fan Park Launches at Burnley Cricket Club — Bigger, Better, and Open to All Fans
Burnley Cricket Club will officially launch its Cricket Field Fan Park this Saturday (23rd August) when Burnley FC host Sunderland at Turf Moor. The Fan Park opens from 10.30am and will be in full swing before and after every home match this season.
The new-look matchday hub builds on the club’s long tradition of welcoming supporters from both home and away, and now offers even more food, drink and family-friendly activities just a stone’s throw from the turnstiles.
Fans can enjoy some of East Lancashire’s most popular street food vendors, including Serrano’s Deli Pizza and Ground Up grilled cheese and smash burgers. Both were such a hit at the recent Worsley Cup Final that they sold out by tea time — so the advice is to get down early. Joining them are Ninja Coffee and La Sicilia ice cream and desserts, while the clubhouse continues to serve its ever-popular Haffner’s pie and peas.
Alongside the food and four fully stocked bars with post-match offers, there’s a packed programme of entertainment for all ages. Kids can test themselves on blow-up pitches, target goals, darts football and a speed gun challenge. Sky Sports will be on the screens all day, with live scores and the early-match shown before and after the game next doorf. On-site parking is available with access from the fire station side of Belvedere Road.
Dan Pickup, Club Director, said:
“We’ve always been proud of the welcome we give to fans on both sides, and the Cricket Field Fan Park is about taking that experience up a notch. This isn’t just about a pre-match pint — it’s a proper matchday destination where families, friends and visiting supporters can all feel at home. That’s the culture of our club and always will be.”
Jamie Campbell, Bar Steward, added:
“We’ve pulled out all the stops to make this season’s matchdays the best yet. Our bars are fully stocked, the food traders are top quality, and we’ve added loads of new kids’ games. We want fans to come in, enjoy themselves, and see us as the place to start and finish their day at Turf Moor.”
The club has confirmed that pedestrian access is unchanged and can be made via Belvedere Road from all directions, while parking access is available from the fire station side.
Burnley Cricket Club is clear that the Fan Park is for home and away fans alike. “We’ve always been, and always will be, open to everyone, especially our fellow Clarets who we love to see visiting once the football season rolls around,” Pickup added.
The Cricket Field Fan Park will be open before and after every Burnley FC home game throughout the season.
